How does FIDO make system passwordless?
FIDO uses device verification to verify the user. This means that the web application authentication happens in two phases. In phase 1 the device gets registered on the web application. Next the device verifies that the user is correct by password lock or fingerprint credentials or Windows Hello protocol.
Currently only banking apps, github etc are using FIDO. But slowly most of the apps will accept this new and easy form of authorization for the user.
